Wusthof Trident LogoWusthof GourmetWusthof Gourmet 10 Piece Set Picture

The Wusthof Gourmet line is an economy level knife. Meant for burdgeoning chefs who can't afford the pricier forged lines Wusthof has traditionally offered.

Differing from their traditional forged blades the Wusthof Gourmet is made from stamped steel.  It lacks the bolster of the forged blade as well as the weight.  It does however offer a full tang with a triple riveted Hostaform-C handle, allowing for easy maintenance, and use.

Our Research on Wusthof Gourmet Cutlery Suggests:

That while these are quality knives made by a quality company, they may not be the best choice for your kitchen. If you cook frequently and/or enjoy expertly crafted cooking utensils you should consider another knife set.

If this is the case I would suggest Wusthof's or Shun's Classic series.

However if you rarely cook, and are on a budget these may be the knives for you. They still carry the legendary badge of Wusthof's name, and adhere to their strict manufacturing processes.
