The Wusthof Grand Prix II line is a beautiful example of functionality combined with practicality.  They are forged from a single piece of high carbon steel and combined with an ergonomic pebble grained black poly handle.

They also feature a full tang running the length of the knife and Wusthof's signature bolster, achieving a well balanced cutting machine.  The pebble grained poly handle feels good in your hand and lends to excellent grip in wet or dry conditions.

Our Research on Wusthof Grand Prix II Cutlery Suggests:

These are a great set of knives for a new or seasoned chef.  They are well made in the Wusthof Tradition, but depart from it with their ergonomic poly handles.

While the poly handles may not be for everyone, they do maintain excellent gripping capacity and a good balance.  The balance however is slightly tilted in favor of the blade over the handle due to the light weight of the poly grip.
